Lady Gaga announces Australian tour — but can it save ARTPOP?
The tour, which kicks off on May 4 in the US, will visit our shores in August.
The tour news will be welcome relief for Gaga fans following a frustratingly quiet few months for the pop star after the release of her fourth album, ARTPOP, last November.
There was no video released for the album's second single, Do What U Want, despite Gaga teasing fans with hints that she'd been working on a Terry Richardson-directed spectacular.
Since that single's release last October, there's been barely a peep about any future releases from the album. In Gaga's few communications with fans, she's spoken of being 'gravely mismanaged' and expressed a desire to start the ARTPOP album campaign again from scratch.
Can the ARTPOP Ball reignite interest in its parent album, which currently sits outside the top 100 in our charts? There's no question Gaga's in her element on stage - just check out her performance of the album's title track on The Tonight Show this week.
Pre-sales for the tour kick off tomorrow - for full details, visit Livenation.
