Lady Gaga and boobs on the September issue of V Magazine
The fact that eccentric singer Lady Gaga is topless on the cover of V Magazine is less eyebrow-raising than the fact that apart from having no bra she's actually wearing a lot of clothes.
She's even wearing pants
Gaga posted a snap of the cover on Twitter with the caption, "First of 4 V covers revealed!" so there are three more to come. Don't worry - even if you don't see any of her bum on the covers, you definitely will in the photoshoot inside. She is starkers. Yep, completely and utterly naked. Something to look forward to when the issue hits newsstands at the end of August.
Don't worry if you can't wait until then to get your Gaga fix though - she is everywhere at the moment promoting her new single Applause which was rush-released on Monday after it was leaked on the internet. She announced there was 'A POP MUSIC EMERGENCY' on Twitter before explaining, 'DUE TO HACKERS AN ABUNDANCE OF LOW/HIGH QUALITY LEAKS...MY NEW SINGLE 'APPLAUSE' IS OUT TODAY AND CAN BE HEARD ON UNITED STATES RADIO IN 15 MINUTES.'
She was then snapped wandering around town with a painted face to mimic the single's cover art. Applause has since rocketed up the singles chart and the Gaga promotional bandwagon rolls on (we imagine the bandwagon looks like a gothic float from Notting Hill Carnival).
In case there was ever any doubt about the weird and wonderful world that is Gaga Land she revealed to Ryan Seacrest on his US radio show KIIS FM on Monday that she wears Michael Jackson's clothes when recording music. She said, "I recently bought a bunch of Michael Jackson clothes - bought a lot of clothes.
"The idea was to keep them for him. I actually don't want to wear them - they're Michael's clothes. I have one of his sweaters that I put on. I wear that when we're mixing and finishing up records. His real clothing.
But wearing it and having it be mine? No."
Don't worry, we're confused too.
We don't remember seeing Michael Jackson in this outfit?
Gaga also spoke about the rumoured 'feud' between herself and Katy Perry after their single release dates clashed on Monday when Gaga bought hers forward. Gaga basically completely trumped Katy's planned release of Roar by announcing her 'POP MUSIC EMERGENCY'.
Do you think Katy Perry looks like she wants to give Gaga a hug here?
Gaga explained, "We both just happened to want to put our singles out within a week of each other. It's not necessarily convenient for everyone [she means for Katy] and maybe a little bit awkward, but we don't need to force feed this negativity until everyone explodes - it turns into a competition and it's not what I'm about at all.
"I really like KP and I really like her fans and I really respect everyone in this industry because it wasn't easy for me to get here and I'm sure it wasn't easy for her to get where she is so I just wanted to put an end to it before it started."
So there you have it: there is no feud...but it is a tad awkward.

Lady Gaga on Nonexistent Katy Perry Feud: "We Don't Need to Force

"Claws Out, Paws Up!" With that and just a handful of tweets, and established that they support each other musically and they have nothing but respect for each other's passionate fans.
The nonexistent feud brewing between the pop stars came from the fact that the singers' new singles were scheduled to be released just days apart. Due to a leak, however, Gaga's "Applause" and Katy's "Roar" both debuted Monday, and boy, did the catty headlines pop up quickly.
But really, there was no truth to any ill will between the vocalists. But Mother Monster didn't want to just ignore the B.S. and let the dust settle on its own-she wanted to clear things up! She explained to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM show Tuesday this was because she was "really bothered" by the media pitting her against Katy.

"Because look, we both just happened to want to put our singles out within a week of each other," she said. "And it's not necessarily convenient for everyone and may be a little bit awkward...But we don't need to force-feed this negativity into it until everyone explodes."
"I really like Katy Perry," Gaga added, "and I like her fans."
So before any battles could break out between the Little Monsters and the KatyCats, Gaga made sure to "put an end to [conflict] before it started."

That's a smart lady looking out for her Monsters. It was Gaga's devoted fans, too, who helped inspired her to write "Applause."
"When I was finishing the tour, I was physically breaking," she explained. "I was in a lot of pain, but didn't know where really. Anyone that's a performer and does these world tours, will tell you your body goes through a tremendous amount of stress, and I didn't know what was wrong ... I have a strong threshold for pain, so I kept slapping myself saying, 'Get it together'...and I was going crazy cause my moves didn't feel the same and...the only thing that kept me going was the applause...and I was able to drown out the pain and finish the show."

Lady Gaga Calls On Fans To Report Song Leaks
Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have both released singles early this week after leaked copies appeared online, with Lady Gaga prompting fans to report sites hosting her track.
Lady Gaga's Applause, the lead single from the upcoming album Artpop, was officially due out on August 19, but was pre-empted by leaked excerpts over the weekend. "Due to hackers an abundance of low/high quality leaks... we issue this pop music emergency... Monsters spread the word," she tweeted.
She called on users to report breaches to the Universal Music piracy report site, and the Little Monsters fan website has done the same. Over 2,500 followers retweeted the link, and many infringing copies of the song have already been taken down. One fan claims to have reported more than 500 infringing sites to Universal.
Gaga's decision follows an identical move from Katy Perry, whose new single Roar also appeared online over the weekend, prompting label EMI to release it early. While one blog - now taken down - claimed that the near-simultaneous leak and early release of both Gaga's and Perry's tracks was a publicity stunt, there's no real reason to think so - after all, the two were already scheduled to launch at the same time.
And leaks have been rife in the last week or two, with One Direction also hit by the appearance of their song Can't Let Her Go online. Indeed, also leaked over the weekend was The Greatest Thing, a duet between Lady Gaga and Cher. It had been intended for Cher's next album, but wasn't scheduled for release as Gaga, who wrote the song, wasn't happy with the result.
"Just heard TGT ! F**k ! It's not even the right f**king version!!! Why do ppl think this kinda leaking s**t is ok ! I'm so fg dissapointed," Cher tweeted. "I've Sat on fking song 4 over a yr ) Now some a**hole leaks wrong version !"
In Gaga's case, though, the leak was of the final version of the song, and only a few seconds were released. This leaves Gaga with a fine line to tread between outrage and sympathy for her fans - many of whom will no doubt have checked out the links they're being encouraged to report.
In an interview yesterday with Carson Daly on AMP Radio, Gaga said that the person who leaked Applause had already been tracked down.
"We found the person who did it and they're probably going to go to jail. I hate that. I don't have any control over that," she said. "I'm an artist from [Universal-owned] Interscope Records; what's lucrative for me privately is also lucrative for the company. If there's any more leaks, they go to jail, and it makes me so upset because they're just fans and they're excited to get any new music out."
