She is not renowned for her covered-up look. But Lady Gaga was clearly in serious mode as she dressed to impress for an evening with music promoter Arthur Fogel in Hollywood, California, on Thursday night, at the premiere of his Who the F**k is Arthur Fogel documentary, shortly after she urged her fans to support Justin Bieber. The 27-year-old singer took to her website on Thursday to ask her fans, who are known as Little Monsters, to give their support to the 19-year-old singer and his Belieber fans in the wake of his arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) and drag-racing in Miami, Florida, earlier that morning.

She wrote: 'Hey monsters. I know everyone today is taking about Justin's arrest and all sorts of words and judgements are happening on the Internet.

'Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and to stand up for themselves, but I think we should be supportive of Beliebers.

'They deserve, just like any other fan, to feel strong for each other and Justin so they can continue to share the bond they have through music.

'We may not understand everything celebrities do because there's only so much we see, but Justin and Beliebers were 'born this way' too. Let's spread love and compassion to Beliebers today.

That is what we are all about. Can you trend #MonstersSupportBeliebers? (sic)'

Following her serious tweet, Gaga let her hair down, quite literally, by sporting an elegant look at the premiere, which took place at the Harmony Gold Preview House and Theater.

The blonde singer made sure she kept everything covered up as she wowed in a stunning long gold gown, and she accessorised her look with a matching clutch bag and bracelets. The Los Angeles-based event, which was hosted by EPIX, featured a screening of the documentary, in which he is showered with superlatives by his fellow music industry colleagues, including U2 frontman Bono, as they praise his global touring business. The Applause hitmaker wore her hair partly up, while some of her tresses hung down in huge wavy curls. She also sported three gold dots above each of her eyes and accentuated her lips with a slick of rosy red lipstick. Gaga, who is known for wearing outrageous flesh-flashing outfits, also showed her affectionate side as she cosied up to the man of the moment, Fogel, and planted a kiss on his cheek, much to the Canadian's delight.Fogel clutched a bottle of water as he posed with Gaga, and may have needed to the liquid to cool himself down following the embrace.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga's infamous meat dress from the 2010 VMAs has been named the most controversial red carpet moment of all time in a new survey commissioned by Charles Worthington, the official hairstylist for the EE British Academy Film Awards.
